To maintain the comprehensive coverage offered today, the medical plan premiums will experience a modest increase to keep up with rising healthcare costs, but there will be no changes to your deductibles, copays coinsurance or out-of-pocket maximums. The prescription formulary (drug list) is changing. Premiums for dental, vision, life, and voluntary plans (hospital indemnity, accident, critical illness, and legal) will not increase. The IRS has raised the contribution maximums for the HSA and the healthcare and dependent care FSA plans, which may help you save more on a tax-advantaged basis.

  • All BCBS of MA medical plans will…

    All medical plans will incur a modest premium increase for the 2026/2027 plan year. Hologic will continue to absorb a large portion of the increase in costs to lessen the impact to you.

    • CDHP: 9%
    • PPO: 9%
    • PPO Plus: 3%

    New plan year rates can be found on the Cost of Coverage page.

    No changes to deductibles, copays, coinsurance or the out-of-pocket maximums.

    Residence of NH, GA and WI can Find a Provider by selecting the Blue Choice Open Access POS as the network.

     

    CVS Caremark Prescription Drug Plan

    Hologic’s prescription plan formulary list and rules (the drugs that are covered and how) is moving to the CVS Caremark Advanced Control Formulary, which focuses on effective, lower-cost drugs. Some medications that were covered before may not be covered effective July 1.

    Most members won’t be affected. If coverage for your medication is affected by this change, CVS Caremark will contact you with options available through this new formulary.

    Your pharmacy network and cost-sharing will not change for the 2026-2027 plan year. For questions, contact CVS Caremark using the information on your ID card.

  • Each year the IRS sets the annual contribution maximum allowed for pre-tax savings plans.

    Health Savings Account (HSA) – when enrolled in the Consumer Driven Health Plan

    • The maximum contribution is increasing to $4,400 for employee only coverage and $8,750 for employee + 1 or family coverage.
    • Hologic HSA contributions will remain at $700 (employee only coverage) and $1,400 (employee + 1 or family coverage) when enrolled in the CDHP plan the entire plan year.
    • Contributions are made over 24 pay periods, skipping the third pay period in any given month.

    Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)

    • The Health Care FSA contribution maximum is increasing to $3,400.
    • The Dependent Care FSA contribution maximum is increasing to $7,500
